It is with great honor that we invite you to the Southern California Model United Nations Conference (SoCal MUN), which will be held from October 12 - 14, 2012 at the Hilton Anaheim Hotel next to Disneyland. This year's conference will provide a comprehensive MUN experience with complementary training sessions, a diverse range of committees and topics, and an environment enjoyable to delegates from all skill levels.

As the next phase in the evolution of OCMUN, it is our goal to provide delegates from all levels with a fulfilling conference experience that is both educational and fun. In order to achieve this goal, SoCal MUN is pleased to provide a unique conference experience tailored to the needs of a diverse range of student participants. For students new to MUN, we will provide an organized series of training sessions. These training sessions will allow delegates, who may be less experienced, to learn the proper use of rules of procedure, how to write resolutions, and research and write position paper in a comfortable environment. In addition, our committees are designed to accommodate both new and experienced delegates. For delegates with prior experience or who may be attending NMUN - DC or NY this year, we have a number of committees designed specifically to meet their needs. Finally, SoCal MUN is excited to host a Downtown Disney reception Saturday night, so that delegates, advisors, and staff can take a break from the conference and socialize. It is our belief that these unique aspects of SoCal MUN will make the experience more rewarding and enjoyable for all participants.   

Built upon our fundamental core values, the main purpose of SoCal MUN is to provide delegates and advisors with a conference that is educational and fun. We thereby invite you to join us from Friday October 12 - Sunday 14 here at the beautiful Hilton Anaheim Hotel where we hope we can experience one of the most interactive, innovative, and unforgettable conferences ever.

If you are interested in attending SoCal MUN, but are not be able to meet the registration deadline, please contact Cale Crammer at info@socalmun.org for deadline extensions.
